Google Reader died today, and since the beginning Digg said that they will come up with a reader, but in my opinion they took way to long for it – there are way to many different options at the moment –, but for better or for worse, Digg Reader is now available for everyone, including iOS users.
The reader is quite fast, the search feature is pretty cool, and for those who like to “Like” stuff there is a “Digg this” button to share and make most popular content available to all users due to a “Popular” feature. Of course, the things you Digg are available for you too check at any moment you want.
The thing I don’t like is that the left navigation bar is too big, and there is no option to hide it or minimize it, or change it’s size whatsoever. That’s the only thing I don’t like about it. An awesome thing is that the top links are very clean, “digg.com/reader/FOLDER/”, unlike Google Reader that was a bunch of numbers and letters without much sense to the common user.
And as I said, it’s available for iOS users.
