League of Charms (NSFW)

TwistedGrim

Twisted Grim is by far one of my favorites YouTube channel. Not only everything is geeky or creepy or just wrong by definition, it’s also funny and awesome. This last video is related to League of Legends, two Ahris, and sexual content. This is NSFW.

FYI, there is an uncensored version, if you’re into that.

Wifi File Transfer: Send files to your BlackBerry via Wi-Fi

Wifi File Transfer

Wi-Fi File Transfer is a BlackBerry app to send files via Wi-Fi between your BB and your PC. It’s very simple to use, and it’s pretty fast, or at least way faster and useful than using a USB cable or using a memory card reader, or something like that.

From the browser you can delete, rename, or download files stored on your memory card or the phone’s own memory.

Wifi File Transfer

Also, since this software is not free, here’s a little program to make things easier. And here’s the key to the file.

I believe that this app also named Wifi File Transfer is free, but I’ve never tried it.

Mr. Lovenstein: Move the cursor

Mr. Lovenstein is an awesome webcomic in black and white that’s just plain crazy and sometimes without sense. But the thing that I like about it is that if you visit the homepage you get an extra panel, nice.

Go see the extra panel over here or clicking the image.

Completely disable SkyDrive from Windows 8.1

Most of the things I hate about Windows 8 and 8.1 are the default apps; there is no way to avoid installing them or easily uninstall them. So, many users need to find ways to hide or disable them since that’s the best way to go sometimes. For those who want to uninstall annoying apps read this post, if you want to disable SkyDrive only, keep reading.

First you need to open the group policy editor, Run > gpedit.msc.

Group policy editor.

Now, go to Administrative Templates > Windows Components > SkyDrive. Open the folder.

Group Policy Editor

In the folder you’ll see three rules:

  • Save documents and pictures to the local PC by default. (disable)
  • Prevent the usage of SkyDrive for file storage. (enable)
  • Prevent SkyDrive files from syncing over metered connections. (enable)

Like this:

Disable Skydrive

This way you can turn it back on whenever you want. Also, this message.

Disable Gmail’s Automatic Image Loading

I don’t know if you’ve realized, but Gmail now loads images instantly if these are contained within. Let me give you an example:

Gmail Comparisson.

To the left is the old way, you would need to click “Display images”. To the right is the feature where images are loaded instantly. This is nice because you can now see the images, and what’s the mail about. But to some people this can be annoying because they have a slow Internet speed or they are charged by consumption.

How to remove the Apps Shortcut from Chrome’s Bookmarks Bar

Apps Shortcut

In latest Chrome builds you may have seen a “Apps” shortcut at the beginning of the bookmarks bar; the shortcut is there because the apps are no longer displayed on the New Tab page, instead they’re in another page… If you use Chrome, this is something you must know by know so I’ll skip it.

Now, how to remove it? Well, this is easy. Right-click the bookmarks bar, then make sure to uncheck the “Show Apps shortcut”.

Remove apps shortcut

And that’s it, if you want, you can bookmark chrome://apps, that way, you can remove name and leave the icon alone… if you want.

Remove Windows 8/8.1 Apps using PowerShell

I was checking some old bookmarks and found this one from Ghacks; it shows a complete set of tools to remove application on Windows 8 and 8.1 using only PowerShell. Since I don’t care about the theory, I’ll only show you how to remove all the default apps that come with Windows.

These are the ones I have installed and shown at the moment. (I removed the others)

Riddick

Finally I decided to watch movies again since finally got some free time, and Riddick was the first movie in my list, and personally, I found it awesome. Yes, the violence is exaggerated, there is mild gore, and even some boobs, a man’s dream. But all this aside, THERE IS AN ALIEN DOG.

Microsoft Toolkit for Windows 8/8.1

With each new Windows there is a new form of activation, and which new form of activation, there is a new method to bypass it. Windows 8/8.1’s activation method can be bypassed using many different tools that are available online in many sites, but the one I use and really trust is called Microsoft Toolkit.

Microsoft Toolkit

This is a not-so-simple activator for Windows 8 and 8.1. Although the interface is very easy to use and is quite intuitive, this is mostly for semi-advance users, meaning that if you don’t know what you’re looking for, you probably won’t know how to use it immediately, but with some knowledge you won’t have any problem.

Now, the only issue I’ve found is that the activation with the default key (the one that comes with the toolkit) will only last 180 days, aka 6 months.

Windows Activation

It also has an Office activator, but I don’t use it because I don’t use Office… I just don’t.

The activator was created by a user on My Digital Life, which is a very popular and awesome forum that you should check out if you have nothing better to do. It’s that or reddit. Your call.
