freebitco.in: the most popular bitcoin faucet

Ok, I know a little bit about bitcoins, and I know a little about scam sites, and I know a little about a lot of other things as well, BUT, after several years trying new sites and methods, I’ve come to realize that the only site that actually works is freebitco.in.

Is the most trustworth and popular site, trust me.

Hear me out, a bitcoin faucet is like those sites that let you earn money by clicking ads, but instead of money, is Bitcoin, and instead of ads, most of the time is just clicking a button after a period of time (in the case of freebitco.in, every hour), and after you earn X amount of satoshi, you can withdraw your earnings.

Now, this site not only let you win a few satoshi an hour (around 50 hourly), but also let you gamble with a game designed to keep you addicted… pretty clever. Also, recently added an interest rate earnings if you have over 30000 satoshi (0.0003 btc), and even a mining option from within the browser.

Anyway, if you’re trying to start wasting your time online, this is the best way to do it.

And remember, there are always referral bonuses.

How to stop Windows from adding folder to the Quick Access panel

As I was saying yesterday, I hate clutter. Related to my PC, I use my desktop to put files that I will use and then delete, like the images I use for posts, programs, and stuff like that. Windows knows this, and that’s why it decided to add a shortcut in the Quick Access panel.

Why?

Why are you doing this? Now I have duplicates, that’s even worse!

In any case, to disable it go to the explorer ribbon, View –> Options.

The bar must always be hidden.

In there, disable Show frequently used folder in quick access, and as a bonus you can also disable the frequently used files.

Disable everything.

That’s it, less clutter for everyone.

Disable Quick Access Shortcuts on Google Drive

A thing I really hate is having clutter anywhere, from pc, room, kitchen, web service, you get the idea. So, when I open GDrive and the first thing I see is the Quick Access area in the first place instead of the folders… I don’t like that. Luckily, there’s a way to remove it.

Pictures are private, fyi.

First let’s go into the options, upper-right, and click on Settings.

Always a detailed step-by-step.

In there you’ll see an option

Why is this enabled in the first place?

Reload the page and you’re done. Note that this will not affect your Google Drive App, these two are separate and you’ll have to do it over there as well.

Cinesift: A complete list of movies based on ratings

Several months ago I was wasting my time in reddit as always and a redditor posted a link to a website that he/her created called Cinesift.

Thanks to it I avided Batman v Superman.

Now, this is not like any other website about movies over there, no, the site ranks movies based on a score averaged between IMDB, Metascore, Rotten Tomatoes, Audience rating, and Letterboxd. Meaning that you add all of these scores to get the average, basic math.

The site is great, not only because it gives you a list of actually good movies to watch, but also becuse since these scores are a combination between critics and regular people, you can see both sides of the story.

But anyways, go check it out, it won’t disappoint.

The Ranch: A Netflix comedy you must watch

Trust me on this one, ok? Danny Masterson, Ashton Kutcher, Sam Elliot, Debra Winger… That’s an epic cast. There are even a few episodes with Wilmer Valderrama and Megyn Price.

The Ranch

Yes, it’s a comedy, but not a normal one. It reminds me the old ones, the good ones, not the crap we see today, but the ones like Married with Children, My wife and kids, and even That 70’s show.

I’m not into giving reviews based on the plot, the drama, the comedy, the drinking, sex, or curse words these guys can do/use/say and stuff, all I can say is that I love it. The series consist in 3 parts (so far) of 10 episodes each, and between episodes there is always a cliffhanger… shit, even between episodes there are cliffhangers.

So, go see it, The Ranch on Netflix.

WhatsApp For Desktop now available

This was something that wasn’t share anywhere in my circle of news or anything… maybe is not that relevant, I guess… but anyway, is relevant to my, so here it is.

WhatsApp released their Windows version and it works pretty well. It’s exactly the same as the web version, but now you don’t need a web browser or anything like that.

That's Rak as my profile picture.

It’s really fast to open, use, and everything, way faster than using the web version. And way to much lighter. Check this out.

On Chrome the session wasn't even open

Of course, this was done in Chrome, I have no idea how much RAM it would consume in other browsers, but the fact is that is half the memory, that’s a lot.

In the setting area, we found pretty basic stuff, of course, the one I would love to see is the possibility to add WhatsApp to the tray area (because I can hide icons there).

Simple as fuck.

So, go and download the app, you won’t regret it.

How to customize your Office 2016 installation

So, after a few searches I finally found a way to customize the Office 2016 setup, just like the previous versions. Here’s how.

Make sure that you have Office already downloaded; it can be as an .iso file, zip, or anything, just make sure that you have it locally, not online… like that crappy deployment tool.

You can delete the readme and autorun if you want.

Now, on the left side, press SHIFT + RIGHT CLICK, then click on “Open command window here”.

Remember to press Shift. Many users miss this.

In that command prompt, you’re gonna run the following command:

setup.exe /admin

Don't close it yet.

It will open the Microsoft Office Customization Tool. Pick the first option and hit Ok.

I didn't even know this was a thing.

In here you’ll modify your installation. You can take a few minutes to do it if you want, but here are the two things I recommend.

1. Accept the license agreement.

Does anybody read these anymore?

2. Pre-customize your installation

Office and Skype. Nice.

Now, go to File > Save. Choose ANY name and SAVE IT IN THE OFFICE SETUP FOLDER.

This is the easiest part.

In the command prompt do the following:

setup.exe /adminfile FILENAME.msp

Yes, I'm lazy and use random numbers.

And presto!

This is the first screen. This is the second one.

NOTE: Although I edited the file to remove some components in my final installation, the one I use here is a previous test I did, but it’ll work, trust me.

To make things easier to technicians, you can create a bat file with the following command:

setup.exe /adminfile FILENAME.msp

Save it, and run it from the Office installation folder, that’s way you won’t need to open the command prompt and type it.

Can you really record your Android phone calls?

YES… and NO.

Let me quickly explain.

Turns out there are apps to record your side of the conversation, and ask you to use the speaker to record from the microphone… which is not what users want.

It also turns out that there are Android distributions that can do this natively, my old ZTE Blade 4.2.2 did this without any app, but so far I haven’t been able to found another app or distribution that works that well.

So, to recap.

Yes, you can record your side of the conversation.

No, you can’t record the other person with most apps… or distributions.
