League of Legends: Mirror mode is out!

From today to June 8, League of Legends will feature a new mode called Mirror Mode: One-for-all. This game played on the Howling Abyss, consist in all 10 players choosing the same champion.

League of Legends

This is beyond amazing, and unlike Ultra Rapid Fire, I actually have fun playing this mode. It’s not about strategy, it’s about luck and ability combined, and the result is a complete mess.

Here’s the math behind champion select:

For this iteration of One For All, champ select is determined by the combined nominations of both teams. A vote tracker shows the nominated champions - if one champ achieves a strict majority, they’re chosen. If not, we base the choice on a weighted random from all the nominated champs, so if four people vote for Amumu, three people pick Blitzcrank and the last three all pick different champs; there’s a 40% chance everyone plays Amumu, a 30% chance everyone plays Blitz and a 10% chance for each of the remaining champs!

I really recommend playing this over the classic Summoner’s Rift since it’s faster and gives the same amount of IP if you played a normal game.
